Sustainability Project Lead
At Assura, we continue to grow in our core markets and are matching this by evolving our corporate structure. We are therefore enhancing our property team to match and enable this growth and expansion.
The Sustainability Project Lead will support the property team by coordinating and delivering on key projects including the upgrading of existing properties, and development of new properties to meet the requirements of Assura’s ‘SixBySix’ sustainability and social impact strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a property and sustainability specialist to drive Assura’s culture of sustainability through net zero and a long-term approach to sustainability. This is a high-profile priority for Assura that must be delivered on, and it must be achieved in a way that meets the needs of our customers, communities, partners, and investors.
This is your opportunity to put your commitment to and knowledge of sustainability in the spotlight.
You’ll have a deep understanding of how to upgrade and develop properties to maximise their long-term sustainability, driving the net zero agenda to which you will be very familiar.
You’ll understand and have experience of implementing the relevant requirements and standards for net zero and be able to think strategically about future needs for sustainable properties.
You be experienced in the practicalities of new and existing projects and will be able to work effectively as the lead on projects or as part of a project team.
You will work closely with the Supply Chain Lead, to ensure that supplier partnerships are developed to maximise the options for sustainability and net zero and you’ll have experience of reviewing tenders for these purposes.
You’ll be our go to person for our net zero strategy and we want you to seek out opportunities to enhance the culture and commitment to sustainability across Assura. On this basis, you’ll need to be able to challenge colleagues across the business and in our leadership teams, making your point in an engaging and supportive way, that ties everything to Assura’s strategic aims.
Your ability to influence others will already have been developed, and you’ll be able to get operational teams onboard and identify new ways of working to successfully delivery the sustainability goals. You’ll be good at turning data into insights that are transparent and open, enabling the organisation to plan, prepare and operate in a way that is successful, which includes meeting its budgetary requirements.
You’ll have a passion to see Assura achieve its net zero goals as part of the overall sustainability strategy, enabling the delivery of great health and wellbeing services to customers located across the property estate.
We’d love to see candidates excited about the opportunity to successfully deliver and exceed on Assura’s business and strategic goals, from a personal growth perspective and to create opportunities for career progression.
You don’t need to currently be in the Health and Wellbeing sector, but you will be in the property and construction sector, working on sustainability with an emphasis on achieving net zero.
You’ll need to be a strategic thinker, excellent at developing new ideas, delivering on projects, and taking key stakeholders with you.
You are looking for an opportunity to influence organisational culture to create long term sustainability in everything the organisation does.
