As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting social impact projects across the UK. Our Assura Community Fund recently gave a grant to Creative Partnerships Beaconsfield (CPB). CPB use creative art to engage the local community and are located near our brand new development – Beaconsfield Primary Care Centre (https://www.assuraplc.com/news-items/first-patients-check-inin-buckinghamshire).

Thanks to the grant, CPB commissioned a local artist to complete a mosaic as part of an art trail around the town. The art trail, which will include key symbols including angel wings and rainbows, will be overseen by expert mosaicist, Maud Milton. CPB chose mosaics to enable the community to fully participate in the project, creating a lasting legacy celebrating the work of the town’s key workers during the pandemic. Each individual tile has been created by a member of the community and the project has engaged a broad range of people generating wider community and health benefits.

Our social impact lead, Karen Nolan, said: ‘Projects like this are more than art, they are opportunities for people to come together, create stronger communities and improve wellbeing and we are really pleased to have been able to support that to happen in Beaconsfield’

The final trail includes a number of mosaic pieces placed around the town and will feature a QR code that interested visitors can scan to reveal more information about the work.
