Assura acquire new premises for Park House Surgery, Lanchester, County Durham
28 Jan 2014

Assura Group, the UK’s leading healthcare property developer and investor, are pleased to announce details of their latest acquisition. Assura have agreed terms on the purchase of a new medical centre as part of the Lynwood House development in Lanchester, County Durham.

Work on the scheme, is well underway with completion anticipated in the summer of 2014. Once completed the 5,000 sq ft new medical centre will provide bespoke accommodation for the Park House Surgery and forms part of a wider development delivered by Derwentside Homes.

Practice Manager, Terry Blair has said “Park House Surgery is delighted to be involved in this project, our patients and staff have waited for many years for this development to get to this stage. We have been involved and consulted in every stage of the design of the premises. The architects have listened and incorporated where possible the layout and I am sure that our patients and staff will benefit from a purpose built design. As well as multi-purpose rooms we now have rooms which have been designed for specific use which we are sure will improve the service that we offer our patients”.

The scheme has been designed by Edwards Architecture and is being constructed by Galliford Try Partnerships.
