Telemedicine zones helping doctors to consult with patients at home or in person are at the heart of a new GP surgery design which has opened in one of our spaces in East London.

The digitally-enabled areas for rapid consultations were part of the fit-out of our space – which is leased to NHS Property Services for the Goodman’s Fields Medical Practice at in Tower Hamlets, on behalf of NHS North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The new centre is delivering an extended range of primary care services to patients from two local practices which had outgrown their premises, providing extra capacity and flexibility to meet demand due to the increasing local population.

Selina Douglas, managing director, NHS North East London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “Goodman’s Fields is the fruition of many years of partnership working, planning, and investment, into providing the absolute best in healthcare for local people. Our ambition for north-east London is to provide the highest standards of care in high-quality facilities that provide a wide range of services at the heart of the communities we serve. We will continue to work with local partners as we drive up standards and address the health inequalities we face in Tower Hamlets and across north-east London.”

The centre has been developed to adapt to changing service needs, with an aim to provide preventative healthcare. The building will operate as a GP surgery, a wellbeing and health centre, and a community centre.
