Green light for new GP building
06 Sep 2018

Plans for a new medical centre and pharmacy in Nottinghamshire have been given the go ahead, paving the way for more space and modern health facilities in the community for thousands of patients.

Our scheme, for Trentside Medical Group, will see a state-of-the-art primary care building being built on a former primary school site near Netherfield town centre to offer the practice more room to care for its growing list of more than 11,700 patients.

The new building – less than half a mile from the current medical centre – will incorporate a pharmacy, more consulting and treatment rooms, light and airy waiting and welcome areas and accessible parking. The project means the GPs will have the layout to care for many more patients, as well as to offer other clinical services and clinics under the same roof.

Our Senior Development Manager, Andrew Cooper, says: “This is a real milestone for local patients, who can look forward to seeing the doctor and receiving their care in premises which are truly fit for the future. We’re looking forward to getting work on site underway before the end of the year.”

Trentside Medical Group’s new building will equip the practice with the space it needs to provide primary care to thousands more patients in the coming years, as new housing in the area is delivered.
