One of our largest primary care hub buildings in Shropshire is helping a flood-hit local GP practice.
Severn Fields Medical Practice, based in our Severn Fields Health Village building in Shrewsbury, is providing temporary space so that Riverside Medical Practice can continue to serve its 10,000 patients - despite its Roushill site being damaged by the high water levels in the town.
Riverside Medical Practice said: “Our Roushill site remains closed due to flooding but we continue to offer an alternative service from a hub location in the interim. Please call our normal telephone number 01743 367891 and hold for one of our team to answer your call. If you have a routine appointment for week commencing 24th February or the 2nd March, please can you attend our temporary location at Severnfields Medical Practice where you will be assisted by a member of our Riverside team. You may also attend this location to collect prescriptions, and sicknotes etc.”
The Severn Fields Health Village is already home to general practice and pharmacy serving more than 17,000 patients, and to sexual health, mental health and IVF services with Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
