We have launched our new consultancy framework for developments and asset enhancements with a focus on sustainability and social impact.

We started this because our supply chain for consultants had extended to over 40 companies.

For us to head into the next phase of development and asset improvements, this needed to be condensed and focused on achieving our net zero carbon and social impact goals.

We have long-term ambitions to be net zero carbon across our portfolio by 2040 and to be the UK’s no.1 listed property business for long-term social impact.

This framework is the next major step we are taking to achieve these goals after we launched our Net Zero Carbon Design Guide in May this year.

Rob James, our Interim CIO, said: “Following a round of submissions, market rates were agreed by all parties and scoring was undertaken purely on the sustainability and social impact credentials and aspirations of each company.

“We arrived at 16 core companies to provide architecture, structural & civil engineering, services engineering, and quantity Surveying / employers agents duties. Each of the companies selected have agreed to follow the Assura Net Zero Carbon Design Guide and will also contribute between £750 and £1500 to the Assura Community fund for each appointment with a value exceeding £1m.”

The framework is for four years and the successful companies are:

As well as sustainability, the social Impact of each company was a key consideration in deciding which companies were going to be successful.

Karen Nolan, our Social Impact Lead, said: “I’m delighted that we have reached the stage where we can announce this. The successful companies have all shown a great commitment to Social Impact and align with our values as a business. The extra funding to the Assura Community Fund will also allow us to continue to support health and community projects near our buildings.”
