New face for Assura’s top team
28 Aug 2019

Chartered surveyor Simon Oborn has joined Assura to lead our portfolio team.

Simon will head up our in-house team which looks after more than 550 primary care buildings across the country, bringing with him significant experience in managing diverse, operational property estates.

Starting his career in private practice, Simon then moved into asset management - becoming Head of Portfolio Management and Acquisition at Arqiva for more than 7,000 assets.

He then joined Moy Park in 2013, where he managed its diverse European estate. Before Simon joined Assura, he was Head of Property and Estates at Cornerstone, the joint venture property and infrastructure company jointly owned by Vodafone and Telefonica (O2).

Our CEO Jonathan Murphy said: “Our in-house property management work is truly specialist and at the very heart of our business - so we’re delighted to bring Simon’s experience and long-term vision to Assura.”

Simon added: “This is a unique portfolio with such an important role in every community it serves – I’m really looking forward to working with the team.”
