Our Healthy Communities Scheme helps make sure Peacehaven patients reach their destination

Patients in East Sussex are to get a ‘lift’ from our Healthy Communities Scheme – after GPs in one of our buildings nominated a local transport service which helps elderly people get to surgery and hospital appointments.

Rowe Avenue Surgery in Peacehaven submitted the CTLA (Community Transport Lewes Area) in response to our call-out to practices in our 550 buildings around the country for the schemes which make a difference to health for their patients. CTLA was flagged for its work with people in Peacehaven to provide affordable, accessible and safe transport to local people and groups.

Rowe Avenue Surgery said: “We have found this service to be a great help in as much as patients can attend the surgery instead of having to have a home visit, which enables our doctors to stay at the surgery and see many more needy people.”
