A GP practice with more than 6,300 patients will be relocating to a new, purpose‐built facility at the Timperley Library site on Stockport Road in a couple of months.
Park Medical Practice will be moving a short distance to occupy the 424 sqm ground floor in modern premises where patients will benefit from an onsite pharmacy and enhanced disability access.
Located at Park Road for more than 40 years, the GP practice’s new home will provide staff and patients with more than double the space.
Welcoming the move, Dr Christina Wilson, GP Partner at Park Medical Practice, said: “This is an exciting new chapter. We can continue to provide first‐class care for our patients in a state‐of‐the‐art facility which features additional clinical rooms, a ground floor location providing superior disabled access and a spacious, modern setting.”
Fellow GP Partner, Dr Nigel Guest, added: “While we will be sorry to leave our current premises on Park Road ‐ my home since 1999 ‐ the improved technology and larger facilities for staff and patients will enable us to look to the future.”
The new building, part of Trafford Housing Trust’s £7m mixed‐use development, also features additional space ‐ which can benefit patient groups – plus has more than 70 parking spaces.
Martin Dawson, our Project Manager, said: “As Park Medical Practice’s new long‐term property partner, we are delighted to support their relocation. The new building will be a great asset to staff and patients especially at a time when the importance of fit for purpose primary care infrastructure has never been greater. This is a major leap forward for the practice.”
