Building work has reached completion at the new development for the Belmont branch of the Benhill and Belmont GP Centre and new pictures offer an insight into what patients can expect.
In-keeping with the site’s recent history, this development has established a new primary care building where once stood the old Henderson hospital.
The new two-storey building was built on the historical site and will provide modern, purpose-built space so that the practice can meet the needs of the growing local population and offer patients a wider range of primary care services after outgrowing its existing Belmont premises less than a mile away.
The new building will provide improved access to diagnostic services such as phlebotomy, improved capacity for outpatient consultations and follow ups, a safe space for minor procedures, opportunities for integrated working with community healthcare teams and a closer working relationship between primary care and pharmacy clinicians.
Martin Dawson, our Project Manager, said: “It’s brilliant to see the practice move into this new state-of-the-art facility on such a historic site. The provision of a modern Changing Places room, roof mounted solar panels, electric car charging points and an expected BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’, are just some of the features the new facility brings for patients.”
Benhill and Belmont GP Centre will open their new building to the public on 1st August 2022.
