We’ve teamed up with NHS England’s NHS Parliamentary Awards to celebrate your work in primary care.
The awards recognise the NHS staff, volunteers and carers going above and beyond the call of duty to make the NHS a better service – nominated by members of parliament.
We’re supporting the Excellence in Primary Care category which focuses on GPs, community pharmacists, dentists, optometrists, community midwives and health visitors, family planning or sexual health clinic staff – recognising the primary care practitioner or team working with patients to help them stay healthy in their own homes for as long as possible.
This could be through:
- bringing in different kinds of professionals and/or working with the voluntary and community groups to broaden the range of services in their local practice
- working closely with colleagues in hospitals, community teams and the third sector to plan patient care better, or
- joining together with other practices to jointly deliver more convenient appointments for patients.
You can nominate a colleague or your organisation by making a submission to your MP.
Nominations are open and close on 1 May 2020. The winners will be presented with their awards in parliament on 1 July 2020.
